Here are new words for you to chew for the day. Enjoy!

1) Extemporaneous – Carried out or performed with little or no preparation; impromptu.
Synonyms: extemporary, extempore, impromptu, off-the-cuff, offhand, offhanded, unrehearsed, ad-lib
Usage: an extemporaneous piano recital;

2) Captious – Marked by a disposition to find and point out trivial faults.
Synonyms: faultfinding, critical
Usage: She found the new professor to be captious, marking all the grammatical errors in her essays while ignoring the points she had tried to make.

3) Beneficent – Characterized by or performing acts of kindness or charity.
Synonyms: benevolent, gracious
Usage: Distance does the same beneficent work far more speedily, and (when assisted by Change) far more effectually as well.

4) Didactic – Intended to instruct.
Synonyms: didactical
Usage: “The principal difficulty in your case,” remarked Holmes, in his didactic fashion, “lay in the fact of there being too much evidence.”

5) Recalcitrant – Marked by stubborn resistance to and defiance of authority or guidance.
Synonyms: refractory
Usage: Neither could he mobilize his army to go forth to war, nor could he punish his recalcitrant subjects.

7) Twoc – to steal something, especially a car

8) Locavore – a person who only eats food which is grown or produced

9)  Bioneer – an individual or group who creates new solutions for dealing with environmental issues, especially when these interact with other social and economic factors

10) Meshing –  the practice of joining together two names to make a new name for a married couple

    i want to travel by public transport because i dont intend to twoc. i am going for a wedding, the couple will be meshing. thanks for this didatic post i will always remember it. this time in a non bissextile year, my vocabulary was improved. 😉
