Hello Friends, i trust the week has been good for you. Mine was exciting, as my adrenaline level was high as i worked against time to meet deadlines. Pressure is good you know, it wakes up the brain cells! Not so fortunately for me, i have a full weekend ahead of me. It’s all good……
Yesterday, a colleague spoke about a lady who told him she knew she was destined to be a second wife! She was not going to marry a “fresh, single guy”, in fact, she’s had several incidents confirming her belief, the guys that have been toasting her are married men….hmm.
The truth is “hate speech” only to those who have something to hide.–Michael Rivero Last Saturday, i watched an episode of a program i had come to like on Series channel, it’s titled, “Moment of Truth”. It’s a reality TV show in which people get to earn hundreds of thousands of dollars just by telling the truth. The program is such that, the contestant is placed on a hot seat, asked questions and with every correct answer earns increasing amounts of money; he/she can choose to walk away at the peak of every stage if the questions get too personal
5 days ago was my fifth wedding anniversary. Yesso! I’ve been married for 5 good years…hmmm. Really, it does feel much shorter than five years ago that i got married. I look back and am amazed at the number of milestones God has helped me attain within this period – it’s been a mixture of joys, uncertainties, challenges, dreams, hopes and aspirations….the years have been extremely eventful.
Last week, I spoke with, and counselled a young lady who had been fraught with a lot of issues in the past 7 years or so. She had been a product of a broken marriage between her parents; she had gotten pregnant and had a child along the line, she had kept multiple partners to maintain a good lifestyle and cater for her child who is now in school, etc.
WHO AM I? That is one of the most difficult questions to answer for any body. It’s not a question one can answer properly without thinking deeply about it. It’s so easy and convenient to define who you are by positions you occupy or roles you play in different places, or titles and this brings about a situation in which a person is under pressure to live up to a position or title. This stifles originality and ineffectiveness. Because you haven’t discovered who you are, you attempt to do everything and and are not focused to be able to
