Sometimes, the thought of a new year can be overwhelming. However, the simpler what you need to do is to you, the more effective and productive your year will likely be.
The term, Use and Dump, or Pick and Dump is my way of helping you simplify your year. I’ll advise you Pick 2 things and Dump 2 things this new year.
- Dump your fears. Every human being experiences fears. The difference between those who get ahead and those who don’t is that some act inspite of their fears while others allow fear to cripple them.
- Dump your knowledge. As long as times are changing, we must be adaptable & keep learning. Approach your work and business desiring to learn how to do it more creatively & better. Don’t let “this is how we do it” prevent you from an exciting adventure in the new year.
Here are 2 things you need to pick up:
- Your old valuable relationships. Life sometimes happens and we grow apart from our very valuable relationships and friendships. All of a sudden, we feel too ashamed to connect back with them again. Just pick up the phone and make a call to begin to revive things. After all is said and done, relationships have the real value, and we must be humble enough to retrace if we need to do so.
- Pick up the good old habit of spending time in prayer and bible study daily. You’re not too intelligent to connect with God daily. If only you knew, you would do it like your life depends on it. The calm, the inspiration, the strength from within, direction that come with solitude with God is priceless and worth more than months of toil.
May you experience productivity like never before this 2021.
