The Price of Late Nights and More…….

There were days when I and hubby went to sleep at 3/4am sometime about 9years ago. We were newly weds and had believed that marriage would be fine so far each person did his/her part.

Those late nights were not nights of passion and intimacy, rather, we talked, argued and tried to resolve issues most of those times. It seemed so difficult, so emotionally draining; it wasn’t easy!

Years down the line, the arguments have gotten fewer in number and intensity. What changed? We simply made some decisions to change our attitudes.

The statement, “We simply made some decisions to change our attitudes” sounds easy, but i bet you, it was extremely tough, especially for me. I decided to stop focusing solely on my selfish wants, but on making the marriage work. The effect was like magic!

We’re still on the journey of building a lifelong, amazing marriage. Let’s keep learning, the younger ones need to have renewed hope in the institution of marriage.

Have a great weekend!
